Have you ever forgotten someone's birthday you loved and felt badly? Well, for a while now I've been thinking "have I crossed over into my 4th year of princess biz?" but hadn't really looked it up. I knew I began in August/September time frame and tonight I finally looked it up. Would you believe my 4th year began two months ago and I didn't even realize it??
I cannot believe that! What began because of my then 2 1/2 year old asking me to 'sing cinderella Mommy, 'sing Ariel' in my kitchen- to realizing that with my music degree and background this may be a great niche for me - has been a wonderful business where I remain extremely busy helping celebrate the happiest moments of the sweetest little girls!
I wish I could share the 'before' and 'afters' of the princess looks and even the show, how much has been added, mixed, edited, researched, skills learned, but of course if you've used me through the years, you may be hopefully aware of the changes. Nonetheless, I must say I do it because I love it. I long for each little girl to feel extremely celebrated, to believe her dreams can come true, and that she is a treasure to behold.
Thank you to everyone who has made my first 3 years wonderful, who has given me your precious pictures, who has spread the word about what I do so that I never had to pay for advertising and could keep my rates so affordable, and who submitted your wonderful reviews for the website! I greatly appreciate not only your business, but all of your help.
So, let's raise our glasses in a princess toast.....to the 3 wonderful years full of magical moments, and to many more magical moments to come!

I am excited to write and share with you some new aspects of the Princess Shows! Shows are constantly being worked on, improved and upgraded. So, I am happy to announce that there is now a new :
*Snow White Dance
*Cinderella freeze dance
*Two new games for Rapunzel
* A new game for Ariel
* A new activity for Ariel
* New bangs for Cinderella
* New accompaniment tracks for a few songs
* New background music
* New instruments
Each show is even more specified than ever before -though still including the beloved flow of storytelling woven among activities and songs.
Each area has been incorporated and adds wonderfully to the show! I am very excited!
May your days be full of wonder!

I could not be more excited to announce that Rapunzel will be available soon for party booking! After considering greatly her story, her music, and of course all that would be needed to 'create' her, I am thrilled to say the process has begun. I cannot say quite yet an official date as much work has to be done and ordering, recording, writing a show, etc has to be done, but I will announce as soon as I can gauge her official arrival.
Of course in the process for researching Rapunzel, I also found an amazing wig for Jasmine which makes me think on adding her one day and the ever question of adding Aurora remains as well. Between the two I'm not sure as it's always hard to judge popularity of a princess and if she is 'needed' (no matter how much I love the music) . So if you would like to request any princess not offered, now is the time. (or have any thoughts on Rapunzel's anticipated arrival - I'd love to hear from you.)
Now, smoothly into the third year, I am soo excited to bring in some new aspects. One of my favorite new aspects I have added is the 'I see a princess' dance. If you've seen a show in the past few months, you'd see a beautifully smooth transition after the corronation and into a wonderful one on one dance with the birthday girl using some new beautiful music I found that sings 'I see a princess in you'. Oh how I love this song and hope it adds greatly to the show! There is nothing like beautiful music with amazing lyrics!
That's all the news for now. May your days be magical and happily ever after!

As I look at my calendar, I can hardly believe that Princess Performances is about to turn two in September. Has it really been two full years already? I can hardly believe the third year is about to begin! It has been a priviledge and an honor to serve everyone who has allowed me to be a part of your very special day!
Much has changed since those first weeks of impersonating. Wigs needed replaced (or I just found a better wig for Cinderella), costumes needed replaced, makeup got soo much better as I learned from makeup artists, new princess music was added, fun makeup was added for the girls, princess dance songs were written, as well as the little touches of false eyelashes and nails done even more special. Now nail stamping is in the process of being added in a new package, as well as a new game is having the music recorded and some some fun add on's like a personalized picture birthday card. I'm always looking for ways to make things more special and more believable for the party goers.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions, or have certain areas you want to make sure I keep, please let me know. I'd love any feedback.
It has been a priviledge and a joy to join your homes and locations for such wonderful days celebrating your princesses! I have been so blessed that the business took off from the very beginning and has remained booked ever since. And thank you to everyone who has given tips which has so greatly helped me keep the cost low.
Coming up in October I, and other impersonators, are joining the Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser to help them raise money to build more rooms at the Ronald McDonald House. If you'd like more information and would like to purchase tickets to this very special breakfast on October 23rd, please let me know. It's a great cause!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day and may tomorrow be filled with 'happily ever after' moments.

I am soo excited about the new makeup I ordered for the princesses! I've been learning from a few makeup artists like crazy and today finally got to take a pic of the new cinderella makeup and looked at the before and after and can't believe how much some great makeup can change things. I'm soo delighted that now I can make my eyebrows really light for Cinderella, red for Ariel, and black for Snow White.
I'm gearing up for taking professional pictures once it's warmer outside and there's some great flowers out. I'm hoping for April at least to get to take, but this weather is crazy, so who knows. In the meantime, I'll keep having my hubby take pic's in our dining room when I can. :o) Thank you to everyone for your support and checking out my new pic's! It's such a delight to make the princesses even more real!
I also just upgraded Ariel's wig as after a year and half it just needed to be replaced. I'm thrilled with the new one and it is so much thicker and just beautiful! So, now everyone has great hair, great costumes, and great makeup!
It's the little things that delight me I guess. ha ha!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
I am so excited tonight as I journal! I realized today that is has almost been a year and a half that I have been bringing princesses to life at parties around the triad. A year and a half! My, how time flies! For everyone who have entrusted me (or us) with your parties and your precious children, thank you! We have had a ball and it has been a priviledge! And thank you to everyone who have given tips which has allowed us to keep our rates so affordable as those who can give more have done so. It is all greatly appreciated!
A year ago I was able to volunteer at Brenner's Children's Hospital "Merry Little Heart Party' and last weekend I had the priviledge to be a part again. Only this time, I was fortunate to not only get to go, but bring a second princess, Kelly, with me. She did an amazing job as Snow White. The children were soo excited to see both Cinderella AND Snow White come to their party and it made our day as well! Kelly and I sang and danced with them, as we celebrated each one coming through heart surgery this year. It is my favorite benefit and always close to my heart.
I am also considering adding Aurora (sleeping beauty) to the business this spring, so if you have any thoughts on her, please let me know. It's always a debate for me on how popular she is for little girls,although I've fallen in love with the song "I know you, I danced with you once upon a dream". I am also working toward getting Tinkerbell up and going soon, so am very excited about that. When it's something you love, it's easy to continue to keep the spirit of excellence soaring.
Oh and if you haven't seen the new pictures of the upgraded Snow White costume and bow, and the upgraded Cinderella hair, please check them out. I need to get more pictures taken, but in the winter that is just far more difficult to do. I am hoping for Spring to get more pictures taken and really be able to show them in the website and new cards.
As always, I hope today finds you richly blessed and your dreams alive and flourishing. May you have an enchanted day!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Days like today where you can look back on the same time as last year are just wonderful to my sentimental heart! Looking at your children and how much they've grown! Being amazed at all that you've been blessed with in life! I love it!
How precious are our children and those around us! How incredible to be able to pour into the life of a child - whether you're own or someone else's! It is such an honor to have their little eyes look up at you and know you have the answers (or hopefully ;o) to their many questions).
Often, while impersonating a princess I am asked how I arrived. Of course I wish I could tell them my carriage is waiting outside, but I have to share with them that normally I take a carriage but that the Prince has taught me to drive his car for when I needed to, so I am driving his green car because he loves green. They look at me with such big eyes and as I ask if they knew he loved green, they nod with a 'of course' look in their eyes. It is the sweetest thing ever!!
And so I find myself wanting to include such other great truths in the show like 'don't take food from strangers' - Snow White, or 'you can still have a kind heart even when others are mean' - Cinderella and much more hoping that perhaps if their princess told them - they would even more take it to heart.
I know it may be silly, but my sentimental heart just looks at these precious children and loves that for a moment. even for a moment, I can bring a message that dreams can come true, that happy endings do exist, and that they are beautiful and like royalty.
There is no better 'job' than that!

Do you know a little girl who is terminally sick? Do you know a greatly needy family who would love to have a visit from a princess but never dream of being able to? If so, she may be chosen for a free princess visit. If you know someone, please email me and give me lots of information about them and their situation and they may be chosen for a special princess visit to brighten a day in the midst of some difficult times. This could be a surprise and they be completely clueless, or you could get the family involved, it's all up to you. I will be accepting emails at firstname.lastname@example.org and will be choosing families at various times. Nearby birthdays are not necessary as it will be a specialized visit.
I am priviledged to not only do something I love, but something that brightens others day as well. Giving back at the Heart Party, and other benefits has been such a joy, so I look forward to giving back in a new way!
Making 'happily ever after' more real.....one moment at a time

I have been flooded with an overwhelming affirmative response to adding Belle to my princess shows. So, I am happy to announce that the costume is in and her performance will be ready for bookings beginning in April. The music is being polished now as well as the rest of the show and I am so excited to be singing lyrics like "Tale as old as time", "Be our Guest", and "there's something there that wasn't there before."
What great wealth of wonderful songs are given through Beauty and the Beast! I'm also excited about adding a special rose game to her show as well!
So, the people have spoken, and now.....drumroll please....... presenting.....
Belle - coming soon
*pictures coming as well

Today I was privileged to give back in a great way! Dr Hines, an amazing surgeon at Brenner's Children's Hospital has a party every year for his patients who had surgery that year. Today was that day, where an estimated 44 children and their families joined together to celebrate! All were amazing kids who have had heart surgery of some kind and it was so wonderful to be able to be a part.
I knew of Dr. Hines yearly party, because I too have benefitted from it as my son has had two heart surgeries. Dr. Hines performed the last one, as his pace maker wires had failed and he needed a new one. I must say, that to be a specialist in this manner takes one amazing person and Dr. Hines is incredible!
So, this area being close to home, months ago I had called them asking if I could volunteer at their next party if they needed me to. You see, I know what that road is like for those families. I know what it's like to walk the road of specialist after specialist to find out what exactly is the problem. I know what it's like to try to keep the faith as you see the obstacles ahead. I know what it's like to see your child wheeled away for a heart surgery where you have to sign a waiver that you realize the potential risk. And I know the joy of celebrating life more fully as you leave the hospital.
It was incredible to be able to be at that part today and to give back in some small way to others who have walked that road as well. Children from babies all the way to teenagers were there, as well as a magician (which by the way was really good if you ever need one), and other special treats made the day even more special for them!
They called it their 'Merry Little Hearts' Party and I hope they all continue to truly have merry little hearts!
